Hush Little Baby

Just a super quick pic – Hush Little Baby bloomed its first ever in our garden today. I planted it in fall of 2024 and it got some greens last year but no scapes.

Besides being beautiful, Hush Little Baby’s bloom coincides with the end of Pink Tirzah’s season. In fact, our Pink Tirzah out back bloomed its last of the season today. I didn’t get to do my planned use of its pollen with Tender Love because Tender Love is very late this year.

Hush Little Baby is a diploid, with very good-looking pollen. Pink Tirzah is a diploid.

I broke my rule not only to be done with crosses for the year but also to not use Pink Tirzah as a pod parent this year.

Very bad me. We shall see what becomes of that decision.
