It must be that we miss the outdoors when we spend much more time indoors. We put trees up indoors, and then we put decorations and lights on them to add cheer. Nothing can even come close to God’s creation of trees with birds (and squirrels) and light shining through, but it does help to brighten the short amount of daylight.
